Thank you for considering the Lehigh County Authority Wastewater Plant for your wastewater treatment and disposal needs! The program is designed to make use of the resources available at the wastewater plant while also providing a meaningful and economic service to our community.

Waste Discharge Procedure:
When delivering a waste load to the Lehigh County Authority Wastewater Plant, please follow the procedure listed below after you have connected to a discharge point.
** No hauler/driver is allowed to discharge a load into the Plant until given okay by Plant Personnel!
1. Open main valve and discharge for 30 seconds.
2. Close main valve and open sample port.
3. Take a sample of waste and close sample port.
4. Bring sample of waste to Plant Personnel for pH sampling.
5. If pH is acceptable, Plant Personnel will allow you to dump the remainder of load.
6. If pH is unacceptance, alternative actions will be presented.
7. When finished, be sure that discharge hose is empty and removed from traffic area.
8. Be sure to close the discharge valve!
9. Clean discharge area surrounding truck.
10. Hauler is then permitted to leave the wastewater plant.
Grit / Truck Clean Out:
The Lehigh County Authority Wastewater Plant allows haulers to clean out grit from their trucks at this facility. The procedure for doing so is available from the Plant Personnel. Please Contact the Plant for more information, and be sure to follow all posted requirements when you have need of this service. No hauler is allowed to clean out grit at this facility until given the okay by Plant Personnel!
