LCA workers continued their tradition of brightening the holidays for local community members in need over the 2024 season. In the group photo, above, are (left to right) LCA employees Miguel Ortiz, Chris Bogert, and Trissina Trusdell; Darian Huaman of The Salvation Army; and Broc Andrew, Robert Sasarak, Pierce Heffner, Ryan Muschlitz, Joseph Luby and Farouk Hamoi of LCA.
As in years past, employees held a food drive, gathering non-perishable “most-wanted” foods for the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania.

According to Second Harvest staff, “The donation from December 2024 was 297 lbs. That is almost a 100 lb. increase from 2023! Thank you all for this donation!”
The Second Harvest Food Bank was formed in 1982 by the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, and was then called the Lehigh Valley Food Bank.
It began with a network of about 15 agencies in Lehigh and Northampton counties. Today it serves 200 agencies across six counties: Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, and Wayne counties. In 2024, the agency distributed more than 16 million pounds of food.
Employees also donated gifts for 20 children for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. The Angel Tree program provides gifts for children of disadvantaged families. The gifts are given to parents a few days before Christmas, so that the child believes they’re from his parents or Santa Claus — preserving the magic of the holiday. Customer Care Office Manager Trissina Trusdell (third from left in the main photo), does a fantastic job planning and organizing the program for LCA.
