Fluoride Information

Water fluoridation is the controlled addition of fluoride to a public water supply to reduce tooth decay.

LCA does not actively treat our groundwater supplies with fluoride. However, we do add fluoride at the water plant for our Allentown Division, which supplies much of western Lehigh County. We also purchase water that contains fluoride from neighboring water systems. Some customer areas have fluoride in the tap water and some do not.
