CITY OF ALLENTOWN: System flushing is scheduled in the high elevations, including Halstead tank, Ward 15, Ward 16, 28th ST SW, and 19th Ward. Flushing is from October 6th through the 11th from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Customers may experience fluctuations in water pressure during flushing work. Click here to learn more about flushing.
When possible we use a “hydrant sock” to control the flow of water, reducing the impact on soil and grass. Check out this short video showing the sock being used.
